CBD Creams and CBD Balms
CBD creams have become quite popular due to their many health benefits. However, what exactly is CBD and CBD cream? You may be wondering, exactly how can this cream improve your life and if it will get you high. In this article, we will be addressing each of these questions and many more. To start with, CBD is short for cannabidiol and this is one of a group of cannabidoids which is a natural chemical compound. There are many different cannabidoids and these include cannabidivarin (CBVD), cannabicyclol (CBL), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene(CBC) etc. There are actually 113 cannabidoids that come from the cannabis plant. So, to the answer the question of what is CBD cream, it is basically cream that contains CBD extract.
CBD cream will not get you high. CBD cream and other CBD products won't be able to get you high because they don't contain the compound that does so. This compound is THC and as mentioned before, CBD cream does not typically contain THC and if it does, it does not have the amount that would cause you to get high.
CBD cream is actually different from CBD oil and the main difference is in how it is used. CBD cream is meant to be applied topically on your skin and body. However, CBD oil is actually meant to be placed under the tongue. So, even though CBD cream may smell great, you should definitely not try to ingest it.
Benefits Of CBD Cream and CBD Balms
One of the benefits of using CBD creams is that it can help to reduce body pains that are in a specific part of the body. For example, if you have a sore bicep muscle, you can apply the cream to your bicep and you will experience pain relief in that area. However, if you try to use CBD oil for the same pain, you will get a very general pain relief throughout your entire body, however, your sore bicep muscle may not completely stop hurting. CBD oil is for general pain relief whereas CBD cream offers very specific pain relief and targets wherever you place it.
There are many different medical problems that CBD cream can help and these include acute and chronic pain, eczema, sore joints, burns, rashes, skin infections, psoriasis etc.
Side Effects of CBD Balms and Creams
There are no known side effects of CBD cream when it is used topically. You may have side effects if you tend to react negatively to the other ingredients in the cream which include beeswax, olive oil, vitamin E etc. Those ingredients are typically used in most other creams and they are quite good for your skin.
The only way you can experience negative side effects is if you eat or ingest CBD cream and you definitely shouldn't. Remember, this cream is only supposed to be used topically i.e. on your skin. So, if you ingest it, you will experience issues such as stomach pains, dry mouth and it can actually cause your liver to not properly process any other drugs or pharmaceuticals you may be taking. This is a huge problem if you are taking important drugs such as those for your mental health, heart health etc. Basically, if you're taking drugs for your heart and and you ingest the CBD cream, the drugs will not work. So, make sure to never ingest CBD cream.
How To Apply CBD Balms and CBD Creams
There are actually many different types of CBD creams and you can get it as a CBD balm, ointment, salve, liniment etc. There are even some that are like Tiger Balm and produce a warming or even cooling effect. As a result, the type of CBD cream that you get would depend on what you want or prefer. For example, you may not enjoy the warming or cooling effect so you would avoid that type of CBD cream. Alternatively, you may prefer the texture and feel of the CBD lotion or cream over the liniment. It all comes down to your personal preference and choice. The type of CBD cream that you choose doesn't quite matter because you will experience the benefits, regardless of the specific type of cream you choose. With that said, we will now look at how you can apply it.
The first thing you need to do is decide exactly where you want to apply the cream. You should find the true source of the pain and apply the cream there. If you're not sure, some of the common trigger points on your body include the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, temples, soles of your feet and knees.
Before you apply the cream, make sure the area is clean by scrubbing with a washcloth, soap and water. This will actually help by opening your pores as well. Then, you can apply the CBD cream to the area and gently massage it into your skin and your muscle. Be sure to use enough of the cream and read the directions thoroughly to determine the amount needed to feel the effects. Once you're finished, be sure to thoroughly wash your hands.
